End of the Golf School 2016-2017

Another course has finished and with it the end of course tournament and Prize and Dinner Ceremony at the 5* Hotel La Sella Golf Resort. This is the ninth season that the Team captained by Dino Ferrer and Jason Seed run the Escuela de Golf at La Sella Golf Academy, and the evolution couldn't be more positive. All students have improved/learnt their golf skills and have proved it in Competition golf. Also the school has gone from 19 regulars on 2009 to 130 this year. We are delighted.

We try to pass our passion for this beautiful game to our students, and so many of them are enjoying this opportunity. We have seen the progress of our kids, from beginners to single digit handicaps and winning tournaments across the region. Some are in University and play less than they would like to, but keep their interest in the game intact.

Last Saturday 17th was the annual Prize presentation Ceremony and Buffet Dinner, and everyone of the attendees enjoyed a friendly and relaxed evening receiving their diplomas.

This occasion also was the following day to Jason's Birthday (same day as another great golfer Phil Mickelson!!) and all the presents sung the corresponding happy birthday song.

Mara Bañó, President of La Sella Golf, read a letter sent by the PGA of Spain awarding Dino Ferrer the highest category of the Spanish PGA, the AA category for the continuous training and education. Everyone congratulated a visibly happy pro.

The prizes for the Parents & Children tournament were also given.

Our new addition to the Academy Staff, PGA Assistant Michael McCarthy was also welcomed by the students.
